November 14, 2005 - Pocock Racing Shells has hired Erin Effmann as Customer Relations and New Sales Manager.

Effmann rowed at the University of Iowa from 1998 to 2002 and also helped coach the Iowa women’s novices from 2003 to 2005. In high school she rowed for the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club.

Effmann received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Iowa in 2002. Before joining Pocock, she was a teacher at an elementary school in Washington, Iowa.

She moved to the Seattle area in 2005 to live closer to family and continue her interest in rowing. Shortly after moving to the Pacific Northwest she also took up skydiving.

“Our customers will be just as excited as we are about Erin joining our staff,” said   Bill Tytus, Pocock president. “Her extensive rowing background and excellent communication skills will help take our already renowned customer service to an  even higher level.”
