FAQs
What is Hypercarbon™?
Hypercarbon™ is the method and the materials we use to build our top-line racing shells. The Hypercarbon™ laminate system was developed through a computerized structural analysis that determined the optimal material location to produce the stiffest possible boat.

What is the difference between your Hypercarbon™ and Standard Line boats?
Our Hypercarbon™ racing shells are designed specifically for the highest possible performance level. We custom build our Hypercarbon™ boats to suit your crew's gender, size, speed and specifications. Every Hypercarbon™ boat comes with ultra stiff carbon fiber wing riggers, which transmits athletes’ energy directly to the boat speed with minimal vertical deflection or twisting. Our true monocoque hull design and Hypercarbon™ laminate system offers you the lightest, stiffest and best value available.

Our Standard Line racing shells are stable, long-lasting boats designed to serve athletes of all levels. The structural design emphasis for these boats isn’t on all-out stiffness, but on ruggedness and value. Every boat in this series comes with lightweight aluminum riggers. These boats all have distinct hull shapes to best match your crew and are built with the same monocoque system as our Hypercarbon™ boats, using a carbon fiber and Kevlar sandwich construction with syntactic and foam cores.

Are your boats available in different colors?

We paint all our boats in white to give them a simple, classic look that is fairly visible in the water. Multi-colored boats add an unnecessary expense and are harder to maintain. To match your school or club colors we have a full spectrum of color choices available for boat tape and bow braces (Tape and color chart) . With Pocock boats, you know your dollars are being spent on quality and speed, not appearances.
