CRCA Names 2005 NCAA Pocock All-America Team
With so many of the country's top collegiate women rowing - and winning - in Pocock boats, it's fitting that Pocock Racing Shells is now sponsoring the NCAA Division I, II and III women's All-America team.

In June, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) named the 2005 Pocock All-America first and second teams from each of the three NCAA divisions. The names and schools of the Pocock All-Amercia First Team (39 athletes) and Second Teams (34 athletes) are listed below.

"Pocock Racing Shells has been associated with women's rowing since the early 1900s," said Bill Tytus, Pocock Racing Shells president. "Pocock All-America awards are a great way for us to continue our involvement with women's rowing and a great way to honor such dedicated female athletes."

The Pocock All-America awards are designed to recognize outstanding accomplishments of female rowers and coxswains during the current season. In addition to receiving an individual award, each rower's school will receive a school award to be displayed in their boathouse.

Many of the 2005 Pocock All-Americans row in Pocock's Hypercarbon™ V8. Pocock custom builds every V8 to suit each crew's specific criteria. Pocock V8s have won races at the Pac-10 Championships, Eastern Sprints, South/Central Sprints, and the NCAA Division I, II and III National Championships.
