Any rower knows that a pair of shoes can make switching boats or seats dreadful. Old, ill-fitting rowing shoes with worn velcro and an odor that you can smell across the boat bay are the worst.
Check out Pocock’s new solution – the Racing Sandal. They’re stretchy neoprene with a draw-string lacing system that makes them fully adjustable, and a comfortable fit for a wide range of foot sizes. The webbed sides and open toe design helps them to dry faster, keeping smelly-shoe syndrome to a minimum. Just two sizes fit practically any foot-size, so you no longer need to stock shoes in every size. Small fits up to a men’s 10, large for anything bigger than that.
Racing Sandals will fit in any existing Pocock boat with adjustable height footboards (’99 and newer). They also feature the same mounting configuration as Adidas and Nike rowing shoes, so they can fit on many non-Pocock footboards as well. Purchase the Pocock Racing Sandals via our online store for $80 a pair.

what is the care of the shoes post season, can they be washed in the washer
Hi Brenda – at the end of the season, just rinse off the shoes and make sure they are dry. If you want to give them a really good cleaning, you could unscrew them from the footplate and hand wash with a mild detergent. We don’t recommend putting them in the washer.
