EVERETT, Wash.
– Pocock Racing Shells today announced
2008 pricing for its Hypercarbon™ and
Standard Line series racing shells in
the eight, straight and coxed four, pair
/ double and single scull
configurations.
Pocock’s 2008 pricing reflects the first
increase in each of its shell
configurations in over two years for the
97-year-old U.S racing shell
manufacturer – the world’s oldest.

“Over the past few years, we have been
impacted by drastic price increases for
composite materials, production
operational costs and labor,” said Bill
Tytus, President of Pocock Racing
Shells. “We have absorbed some of these
higher fees for over two years but in
order to maintain the quality materials
and workmanship synonymous with Pocock
Racing Shells, a price increase has
become inevitable. We look forward to
continuing to supply universities,
schools and clubs with superior shells
and top level service at a price that
remains competitive in this industry.”
