Pocock’s Partnership with Row for the Cure Enters its 20th Year

September 30, 2019

Pocock Racing Shells has proudly sponsored the Row for the Cure organization and regional regattas since 1999. To honor Row for the Cure’s 26th Anniversary and recognize October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the organization is undertaking a new awareness campaign:
Pink the Boathouse.

The month-long celebration is designed to demonstrate the rowing community’s continued support of survivors, those battling it, and the effort to find a cure.

Throughout October, we look forward to working with Row for the Cure and supporting this campaign. Whether it’s a day of wearing pink to practice or organizing an event during the month, we encourage every club to participate in some way.

How can your team Pink the Boathouse? It’s easy!

    1. Wear pink in October to any/every race
    2. Wear pink in October to any/every Saturday practice
    3. Host a Pink the Boathouse event October 5 or any day in Oct
    4. Decorate and light up your boathouse in pink light
    5. Hang a pink banner on/in your boathouse for the month, or hang a banner on your tent at regattas
    6. Host a post-practice pink lemonade party (or other party beverage)

  • Whatever you chose to do; Share photos, videos, stories on social media with the tag #pinktheboathouse
